Flor Keehn, owner of Sol Jewelry in Sayulita, grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She spent her summers by the public pool, making jewelry for her friends. Using all types of string, lanyard, beads and found objects, she sat beside the pool as they played and created wearable memories all summer long. Sara Briner (from Switzerland) and Mario Rodriguez (from Mexico City) started off traveling around Mexico in 2004 selling their handcrafted jewelry on the streets in various cities and villages around the country. In 2005 they first came to Sayulita and after 4 months of selling at the market they decided to open their own proper jewelry shop and make Sayulita their home.They did a 5 months course in Taxco, Guerrero at the UNAM, Sara in Silversmithing and Mario in "Lost Wax".
