Build It and They Will Come

Watching the sunrise early morning, the crisp smell in the air of fresh cut grass watching foals playing in the field. That memory has stayed with me my entire life, dreaming of the day that I could be the owner of such a place.

I have been riding horses since I was three years old I have always loved horses and being that child dreaming of being part of something special like National Velvet. My dream has become real.

The Equestrian Center is now reality, being fortunate to have bought a large track of land known as Los Horcones years ago we are in the beginning stages of this dream. We have thirty-six horses primarily all pintos, why pintos because I have a soft spot for their color.

My family got involved with horses here in Mexico because of our autistic daughter, she so enjoyed horses we purchased one then another then another. We gave therapeutic lessons free to the school in Bucerias with special needs children, to see them light up was such a gift for me. It was like reliving that childhood feeling of everything is perfect, it is so empowering.

We have been blessed to have Monica Beschen Patino, her husband Felipe and their son Felipe Jr, from Alabama to make this vision a reality. Monica has the same vision as I do, as well as being involved for over twenty years in training programs for both horses and rider, three day event competition, dressage, clinics and other horse/rider activities including lessons for children.

Our immediate goals are for student lessons, Monica’s specialty in our round pen. Leasing short and long term at discounted rates for horse loving residents living here. Our future plans include having an arena for jumpers and as well as offering boarding for horses. Our long term goal is to have cabins for weekend visitors.

We are located close to Litibu beach which allows for three miles of beach riding, monkey mountain is within riding distance. For the adventurist Sayulita is a nice ride the jungle changes daily so there is always something new to see. New visions, new
dreams.
