Casta Verde Fund Raiser - The Tropical House

By editor - Posted on 16 December 2009

Last Thursday night, December 10, 2009, Tropical House Bistro in Sayulita hosted a wonderful event of life music and original paintings. A big thank you to all that came out to this event and helped raise $8,000 pesos which will go to the music and scholarship program at Costa Verde International School. The classical guitarist Rigoberto Mora Munoz played two amazing sets of music on his guitars in the open air patio. Seats were full and all ears tuned into the amazing sounds of this wonderful guitarist.

Paintings by Juan Carlos Osorio Gordillo were unveiled for this event and included two very large pieces that resembled the beach of Sayulita. Juan Carlos has an extensive gallery of artwork and his paintings will remain at Tropical House throughout this month and are for sale with a proceed of the sale going to CVIS.

Costa Verde announced the winner of the horse raffle, yes a horse raffle, thanks to Pat Wagner of Painted Ponies Ranch. She donated a horse to the school so that they could raffle it off and the lucky winner was announced at the Tropical House event. Pat has offered to donate another horse for Costa Verde’s next upcoming event so please stay tuned to Sayulita Son on where to buy tickets and the details on the next lucky horse.

CVIS would like to thank Tropical House and especially Eileen Loftus for her generous support and assistance in this wonderful event.
