PacificDomes International
PACIFICDOMES INTERNATIONAL:
I had the opportunity to sit with Teresa Oso last week, to discuss the world of DOMES. Of course I had been to the web site and poked around a bit. I found what I saw to be impressive, however when I sat with her I became more interested - not only in the DOMES themselves, but in the people who founded this company twenty eight years ago.
Asha Deliverance, the owner, followed the concept of Buckminster Fuller who seems to have invented the DOMES. Deliverance and Oso have built this business to a global standard. With dealers already in The United States, Canada, Europe, they have just opened a factory in Mexico.
While talking with Teresa, I found the more she shared the more excited she became about telling how these portable domes can be placed just about anywhere in the world and one can live in comfort. Since I live in Sayulita and the zoning is very restrictive in certain areas, this is the ideal alternative to building with block and pouring foundations.
Pacificdomes International has placed a DOME in the Plaza Del Sol in Guadalajara for display, but of course it goes much deeper than that. The DOME is used to teach children about the earth and how to protect it by recycling products and choosing wisely the products that they or their parents purchase. Pacificdome is also supplying seven large DOMES to Michoacan for its centennial celebration, which will afterwards be used as an education center.
Teresa also led me to another web page, to a company that they work closely with which is www.lessislife.com , a company that makes existing homes more conducive to the natural environment, and less expensive to maintain.
I have to say that as a person who wants to save the planet, this has been a wonderful collaboration with another who is working globally to do the same. When I asked Teresa what this had brought to her life, she simply said, “A manifestation of my dreams.”
Do visit their web page and see for yourself what one’s manifestation of a dream is. www.pacificdomes.com
