SAYULITA HAS AN ICON

We feel so proud of having the opportunity to donate the first Public work of art; we plan this to be Sayulita Icon and landmark. This magical place didn’t have an art icon for identity and promotion. We thank God for giving us the opportunity.

The Mermaid, a mythic element that symbolizes the contact of the women with the sea, The Women as Humanity symbol living in contact with the sea and nature, surfing with the dolphin; hold by the Coral tied to the bottom.

This magnificent piece was created through the hands of International Artist and Sculptor Octavio Gonzalez, Author and Donator of the life-size Humpback whale at Marina Vallarta; His lovely Sea inspired works are located at important plazas and public places throughout Mexico and the world.

Sayulita is known internationally for its lay back relaxed atmosphere, surf and bohemian, a magic place with its unique waves that break right or left, right in downtown, with it’s beautiful bikini tourists gently straddling by the streets, here the etiquette is the beachwear, some well wear surf shorts or a bikini is enough, sandals or barefoot, with or without shirt, showing and admiring the tanned skins, the makeup is the sun, such a delight for the senses.

As the authentic love encounter of the women with the men.

To preserve this paradise with the love that we have for this land as the blood of our ancestors and our country.

The artwork statue is located ( for anyone to enjoy ) provisionally at “ Mi Chaparrita Ranch “ , located at km 3.5 of the Road from Sayulita to Higuera Blanca, we are finding with the mayor the best location to place it
