Christopher and Dale came to Sayulita in 2000, after not wanting to leave their 15 year old lab Pete behind on a planned trip to India. Instead, they decided to bring Pete and their latest adoptee Rio with them on a road trip south. After packing up their old beat up '85 Land Cruiser, they spent a month driving down through Baja, then crossed the sea of Cortez by cargo ferry to the mainland, and continued south towards Vallarta. Some good friends had told them not to miss Sayulita along the way, and they didn't; as it turned out, they found themselves here for the next four months looking for every excuse to stay.
